I am making this statement now, and you can quote me on it in the future depending on how things go.

I will own an Alfa Romeo one day, maybe even more than one.

It can be a new Giulia or an old Giulia, a Giulietta, a GTV, a Spider, a Montreal, a Stelvio, a 159, 156, 166, 164, 155, GT, MiTo, whatever. I will own a car with that badge one day.

Just after I get the SC400. Maybe I’ll have both at the same time.

But I’ve owned a Cadillac and a Subaru, it’s time for me to move on to my next two favorite brands.

As much as we all know I’ll own a Twingo at some point, I lust after this:

Kinja'd!!!

I need a 2011 Alfa Romeo 159 TI 3.2 JTS V6 Q4 Q-Tronic.

If I buy a 159 it’s gonna be a Quantum Edition.

I’m the exact same way with Maserati, so I 100% understand and support the drive to be a part of your favorite brand(s).

I have a feeling that for all the flak we give today’s Maseratis, in the future looking back the exhaust note and driving experience will more than make up for its lack of competitive features.

I am RallyDarkstrike, and I approve of this message.

Also, I will own my little FIAT 126 at some point in the next few years!

You know I gotta say, and I hope this doesn’t sound creepy, but whenever you reply to my posts I feel a sense of pride for some reason. I think it’s the F355.

Btw, if I ever win the lottery and you’re looking to sell...

We look forward to you joining the club! Just remember: Alfa Romeo ownership is much like getting genital Herpes. It is rarely fatal, but often inconvenient and/or painful and embarrassing, and will likely adversely effect your love life, it may also go into remission, but you are never truly ever free of it....

I get it—as with any hobby, there’s always someone with more than me, and there’s always someone with less than me.

I do notice the more prominent Oppos (let’s be real, you’re one of them)—I love this community because it’s so not-pretentious and down-to-earth.

I have a ton of fun with my local car club and drive events, but as with any hobby, it has its share of obnoxious characters—it’s doubly annoying when the wealthier ones act douchey and entitled, and it really grinds my gears when they get away with it because of their “cred.”

It’s great to have you around here because it gives me hope that one day I can achieve my goals, even if they’re something small like owning an Alfa Romeo. If we can have Ferrari owners here, I think we can have anything here. And that’s what makes Oppo so great.

I’m a small fry in the Ferrari community, but the F355 was definitely a childhood dream car.

Also, owning an Alfa is no joke. Newer ones are expensive and older ones can be very needy. Restoring an 80s or 90s Alfa sounds like a headache, but you end up with a car like nothing else on the (‘Murican) road.
